Joe LeSergent passed away December 24, 2012 in Hardy View Lodge Grand Forks, B.C. at the age of 84. He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. He is lovingly survived by Carol, his wife of 54 years, his children Clifford (Dallas), Jean, and Thomas (Ashley) and two granddaughters, Mikaila and Keanna. Also survived by four brothers, Marcel, Wilfred, Fred and George.
Joe helped build the old Greenwood school. He worked for several of the old time loggers and in the local sawmills. For a short time he worked for Greyhound Mines. He became a planerman and had requests for his finished lumber from as far away as Great Britain. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hiking, berry picking, poking around old ghost towns, and he had a great love of music.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to his doctor, the staff at Hardy View Lodge, to Hospice and to Mr. E. Baker of the Grand Forks Funeral Home.
