James (Jim) Arthur Rothon passed away peacefully on August 26, 2017 at the Boundary Hospital in Grand Forks, B.C. after a long battle with cancer. Jim was born on May 10, 1956 in Edmonton, Alberta. He loved his work on Vancouver Island as a gifted autobody repairman and painter. Later in life his hobby was painting of flowers and scenery.

He is survived by his beloved children, daughter Julie (Ladysmith, B.C.), son Jamie (Prince George, B.C.) and grandchildren, Joseph, William, Kadence and Madison (Ladysmith, B.C.) and Eva (Prince George, B.C.) and first wife Susan (Ladysmith, B.C.). He leaves behind his mother Margaret and brother Ted (Colleen) and their children Jonathan (Katie), Alyssa and Daniel and his many friends.

Thank you to the staff at Grand Forks Boundary Hospital as well as home support and mental health staff and Grand Forks Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held by his family in Ladysmith, B.C. at a later date.
