It is with deepest sadness that we announce Harold “Hal” Jansen, passed away February 27, 2017 at the age of 74. Hal was born February 14, 1943 in Oudega, Netherlands and immigrated to Canada in 1961.
Hal moved to the Grand Forks area and started Central Avenue bakery in 1988 which he ran until he retired in 2002.
Hal is survived by his loving wife, Norma Jean, three sons, Dave, Eric and Tim (Tamera), and five grandchildren, Darci, Hailey, Jorja, Alanna and Adam. He is also survived by his sister Sus, and brothers, Jacob, Peter and Chris. He will be sadly missed.
A celebration of life will be held on March 31, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Canadian Legion Hall.
