Gregory (George) Kastrukoff

January 30, 1939 - January 28, 2015

George was born in Trail, B.C., to parents George and Mary Kastrukoff. The family moved to Grand Forks when George was at a young age. He spent his years growing up in Grand Forks working on the family farm, until he started his own trucking business. George loved the driving and trucking was his passion. He also enjoyed the outdoors – camping, fishing, gardening, and anything else outside. He was also an amazing cook. He had many friends and he loved his family very much. He was a kind and gentle man and would have done anything to help anybody, and did even till his final days at the Silver Kettle. In 1960 he met his wife-to-be, Anne, and they married in 1963. They stayed in Grand Forks to raise their family. George is survived by his life-long partner Anne; his son James (Marcella) Kastrukoff; his daughter Bonnie (Les); two granddaughters, Jasmine and Samantha Starchuk; and his sister Elaine Verishine and his nephew Merle (Tanya) Verishine of Kelowna, B.C. He also has many cousins and friends and he will be sadly missed. You have gone to be with your creator a place where you will be in peace. You have finished your time on this earth, but you will never be forgotten. You will live on in the hearts and souls of people you have touched throughout your life. May you Rest in Peace. Cremation has taken place. There will be no service by George’s request.
