GARRY CHRISTIAN Hunt

May 1, 2010

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Garry Hunt. He was predeceased by his two sisters Margarete and Hannelore of Germany. Garry is survived by his long time companion Marita, his children, Monica (John), Earl (Sharon), Darryll (Dawsha) and Noel (Billie), and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. After completing his degree in Commerce at Heidelberg University and continuing his studies at UBC, Garry started teaching school in Bralorne, B.C., in 1958. H e continued to teach in Greenwood, Midway, Grand Forks, and Mont St. Hilaire, Quebec, before retiring in 1985, teaching French language at the Grand Forks Secondary School. A proud and spirited man, Garry’s opinion was no secret to anyone. He, too, was not trepid about living life to the fullest; Garry found adventure under every rock. He traveled the world well into his 88th year; driving back and forth from Costa Rica to Canada eight times, outsmarting roadside thugs along the way. His embodiment of life will be sorely missed by all who knew him.Internment will take place May 12, 2010, at 10 a.m., at the Evergreen Cemetery.Rest in peace, Garry.
