Dora Salkeld

May 5, 1926 – May 7, 2015

Dora is finally at peace in heaven after her two year battle with cancer. Dora was a devoted wife, a caring mother, a loving grandmother and stubborn to the very end. Predeceased by husband Leonard, sister’s Aletha and Myrtle. She is survived by her brother Mervin Norris and her six children Elaine McEntee (Kevin), Audrey Gibson (Jim), Rae Salkeld, Mark Salkeld (Mary), Jeffery Salkeld (Tami) and Laird Salkeld (Valerie) 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. “I have the very best family in the whole world”. Saskatoon City Hospital Alumni, class of ‘47 RN. Obstetrics post grad in Jersey City, N.J. 1949. Married 1950 in Kerrobert S.K., onto Southern Alberta then Burnaby, B.C. in 1955. Dora and Leonard moved to Grand Forks in 1976. Len was retired and Dora went back to nursing. Dora left her mark on everyone she met and will be dearly missed by many. Dora was devoted to giving so in lieu of flowers please give to your preferred charity in memory of her. A service followed; Dora’s burial at Evergreen Cemetery, at Gospel Chapel, Sunday, May 10 at 2 p.m. Funeral arrangements been entrusted to the Baker family of Grand Forks Funeral Home, gffh@shaw.ca
