Bernice (Bunny) Marie Cox

1920 – 2016

Bunny’s long and fulfilling life ended on May 3, 2016 at the age of 95+ years in the Grand Forks Hospital. Bunny was born and raised near Bridesville, attended early school in Findley, then moving to Keremeos with family.

Attended school in Kamloops, then post secondary in Vancouver. She met her husband Roland (Babe) Cox in Greenwood while working at the Court House then moved to her ranch in 1952 and lived and worked on the ranch until her passing. She always loved her Hereford cattle and was very proud of the ranch and the fact that they never borrowed any money in her life.

Bunny is survived by daughters Lana (Terry) Lyver of OK Falls and Wendy (Dale) Cox of Greenwood. Two grandchildren Jill (Jerry) Messier of Victoria and Patrick (Erin) Lyver of Kelowna with two great grandchildren, Emma and Autin Lyver. Bunny was predeceased by her son Greg (1989) and her husband Roland (Babe) Cox in 1999.

By her request no service will be held. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Baker Family of Grand Forks Funeral Home.
