Anne passed away at home at Grand Forks, B.C., on Friday, April 22, 2011. She was born on September 21, 1920, and grew up at Raspberry Village near Castlegar, B.C. Her parents were Peter L. Rilkoff and Lucy Makeiff. On January 30, 1945, she married Philip Eli Podovinikoff and moved to Slocan Park, B.C. They raised four children: Nikolai, Kate, Philip Jr. and Eli. The family moved to Grand Forks in 1967 and lived on Covert Road. Her husband Philip passed away on March 6, 1978. She leaves behind four children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 1 p.m., at Grand Forks Funeral Home. Grand Forks Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
