Snowed in? Send us a pic and win a gift certificate

The Gazette is introducing a new year's contest about the snow storm.

  • Jan. 5, 2015 11:00 a.m.

Snow on Central Ave in downtown Grand Forks.

Snowed in? Who is and who isn’t?

We want to know and we are willing to put our money where our mouth is.

The Grand Forks Gazette wants to see the best photo from today’s snow storm and we are giving away a $25 Jogas gift certificate to one that we think best depicts this storm. It can be anything from shovelling out your driveway to having fun with the kids in the snow. There are no rules about what it can be, it just has to be about the snow and the massive amounts that we received.

“We just want to have some fun with this,” said Publisher Chuck Bennett. The weather is always a big story, and this storm is certainly the biggest story so far for 2015 so we wanted to share some of the images of people in our community and how they are dealing with it.”

Please send your photos along with your name and a brief description (and it doesn’t have to be just one – send as many as you like) to editor@grandforksgazette.ca.

Watch for the winner which will be announced on our website on Wednesday. We will also be posting photos to our site and Facebook as they come in. Look in next week (Jan. 14) paper for the winning photo and other snow photos from our entries.

Good luck!
