On Feb. 3, approximately $10,000 worth of tools were stolen from a trailer in Christina Lake.

On Feb. 3, approximately $10,000 worth of tools were stolen from a trailer in Christina Lake.

“The neighbour had heard a bit of a noise at 4 a.m., thought it was a snowplow,” Grand Forks RCMP Staff Sgt. Jim Harrison says, adding that the snowplow had not gone by at that time so it likely happened then.

On Saturday, Feb. 5 at 2:15 in the afternoon, RCMP responded to a motor vehicle accident on Hwy 3 near Christina Lake when a woman lost control on the icy road.

“The vehicle went offroad towards the right, did about $3,000 damage,” Harrison says.

The driver is a 51-year-old female Grand Forks resident and she received minor injuries; she was driving a 2006 Pontiac.

Over the weekend there was a break in at the compound at Grand Forks Renovation Centre on Central Ave. An unknown value of ceramic tile was taken out of the compound.

Harrison says there are no witnesses.

Anyone that has information on these or other incidents are asked to contact the RCMP at 250-442-8288.
