Over 38 per cent of Grand Forks voted

About 38.6 per cent of voters in Grand Forks turned out to vote in this past municipal election.

According to civicinfo.bc.ca, about 38.6 per cent of voters in Grand Forks turned out to vote in this past municipal election.

The estimated number of voters in the city was 3,053 and 1,179 votes were cast.

In comparison, Greenwood's estimated number of eligible voters was 577 and 403 votes were cast – 69.8 per cent.

"Initial calculations put the province-wide turnout for municipalities, excluding those with fully acclaimed councils, at 29.51 per cent," civicinfo.bc.ca also reported.
