High streamflow in effect for Kettle and Granby

The River Forecast Centre has issued a High Streamflow Advisory for the Kettle and Boundary regions. That includes Kettle and Granby Rivers.

The River Forecast Centre has issued a High Streamflow Advisory for the Kettle and Boundary regions. That includes Kettle and Granby Rivers.

The centre said that the Granby River, around Grand Forks has risen approximately 30 centimetres since Sunday and is approaching a two-year flow level.

The centre expects levels to continue rising into today and expects high streamflow conditions throughout the region.

According to the centre a High Streamflow Advisory means that river levels are expected to  rise rapidly but flooding is not expected, other than in low-lying areas.
