For Global Divestment Day at Christina Lake, Rosemary Phillips and Lillian Yaeger stood out on the Crowsnest Highway (No. 3) waving at all the passing traffic. There were many waves back and honks of horns, even from truckers, and several people stopped to ask questions or offer verbal support. Global Divestment Day calls on institutions to do what is necessary to avert the climate crisis by divesting from fossil fuels.
